A real monster. Great tannic structure. Worth a revisit in 7-10 years or so. Hold until then.

Says Tuscany. But balanced with lean tannin. Velvety grip. Could guess a little Sango but there isn't any. Perfect with beef and game. Mushrooms. Big firm presence. Truly Super Tuscan.

Dense and rustic, with notes of licorice, cigar box, and earth. This is like the bizarre love-child of Bordeaux and Brunello. Cab and Merlot, Neil Empson's wine. Drink with wild boar, obviously.

Aroma - Meaty, Cedar, oak, earth notes. Mushroom

Let open for a while
Spiced Blueberry with baking spice notes. . When first opened, high tannin and astringent on tongue. This loosens as it opens. Almost menthol notes.
The astringency returned. A wine that would benefit from some more time in the bottle

Not sure it's worth picking up a couple more to put away.... Not sure.
