Started out a bit overbearing on the oak front, but did dissipate as the wine opened up. From there it took on tart cherry and cranberry notes.

Apr 5th, 2020Bright ripe cherries, melted red cough drops, tobacco, vanilla, cinnamon, high viscosity and alcohol. Light in the mouth with a surprising bit of tannins. Got better after a couple of days! Also- loved the beautiful brown tinted bottle, very unique.

Aug 13th, 2018Black cherries, cola, red roses, dried strawberry, graphite, figs, truffle, blood orange. Excellent rounded acid/rough velvet tannin balance, opulent mineral texture, deceptively full bodied, complex creamy berries/herbal/spicy finish. Perfectly balanced, its strength is in its delicate nature. Drinking beautifully now, will be at its best in 5-10 years.

Apr 13th, 2016Was gifted this by a regular. Never had the chance to try a barbaresco let alone anything with Nebiolo in it. Just gonna take this one in. Very smokey with truffle and red fruit on the nose. High tanin. A good wine for heavily indulging in fish dishes with rich sauces devoid of any cream. Got a really jerky after taste. V good.
