An old stand-by in the crowded DOCG Chianti Classico category that still stands up. Decidedly fruit-forward black cherry dominates while maintaining a perky liveliness. Leans out significantly through the mellowed leather-and-licorice-laced tannins. Not particularly complex given its price, but plenty tasty.

Extremely well balanced. Pretty much what you want from a nicely aged Chianti (2009).

Such a mellow Chianti. Mushrooms, herbs and delicate nose.
