Day 1 was focused and intense with tomato paste and herbs, Day 2 - fell off a cliff. Personally I do not care for the Gran Selezione style. In blinds it makes confusion w Brunello due to the higher Abv and extended oak influences

Bright ruby red color with garnet highlights. Pleasant aromas of fresh herbs, tomato leaf, violets, and blue/black berry fruit. Black cherry and currant dominates the palate along with touches of balsamic vinegar, Earl Grey tea and tobacco. Long finish and very soft tannins. Bright acidity. Fresh, elegant and graceful.
