RP approved, which is to say that it's bigger than I prefer. Still, pretty delicious.

This is the Super Tuscan red from 2018. Very strong tannin!!! Needs way more cellar time. Very good pepper and yeasty flavors. Blend of can sav, Merlot, and Sangiovese. Nice fruit and super jammy flavors. One of the darkest ruby wines with tons of colors!

Starts off with smells of tobacco, but strong cherry tobacco comes with the first sip.

This "Lady of the Castle" - La Castellana - is a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Merlot, 15% Sangiovese, 2% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot, representing a "Super Tuscan" style with an unmistakable Napa Valley flair.
We bought this wine when we visited Castello di Amorosa in the spring of 2021. Sipping this wine brings us back to that day.
This is the 2014 vintage, offering a deep ruby hue with ripe, robust black cherry, blackberry, plum, and cassis notes complemented by black licorice, tomato leaf, delicate mint, dried oregano, star anise, fennel, nutmeg, vanilla, tobacco, clove, and leather notes with high alcohol clocking in at 14.8% ABV.
It's fragrant, soft, supple, and velveteen on the palate. Delish!
