It's funny how most people write-off wines from the Castle but they actually have some excellent juice. This Cabernet has a lot of red fruit and spice on the nose. On the palate there are luscious tastes of cherries, red plums, nutmeg and cinnamon. The tannins are nicely refined and elegantly woven into the structure of this wine. Not the typical Napa fruit bomb but an elegant wine on all fronts.

Exceptional nose, red fruit forward, high quality and dense rich flavors. Mineralality lingering mid pallet. Castello di Amorosa is referred to as the Disneyland of Napa Valley. They have a wine for every price point but not enough attention is paid to their upper end wines. Exceptional 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷

Has very nice age on it - baking spices, mild tannins, blackberries, med-high alcohol.

Oh this is nice!!!!! Our Anniversary Dinner Wine for #31. This wine has a lot to offer….blackberry,black currant, blueberry, violet, toast, smoke, forest floor, and perhaps a bit of strawberry. The tannins are super smooth. Went great with the Chateaubriand!!!

A new one! The castle. This was a first for me - and it was delish.
Other bottles regrettably not captured include the tried, true and consistently mouth watering Venge '14 Bone Ash cab, and a super Tuscan that I couldn't finish - not for me.

Went to the castle last weekend (thanks to Zack in the VIP room). Decided to pull this 2010 out tonight in November 2016. And wow very smooth and tasty. Holding up well. Super nice treat with Mr big.
