Finally got around to ordering some Castello di Ama more than a year after the tasting - and pleased to report the Montebuoni is exactly what I recorded - stellar Chianti despite being at the low end of the CDA lineup. Gorgeous nose that continues to an earth-free, acidic-free palate. Best savored before food - turned quite sparkly with a pesto sauce. Great sipping wine.
