Chianti Classico Sangiovese

It is happening...i have started to open some of my wines from Italy...
This was quite a lot more than just a Chianti

Castell'in Villa..what else?

Compelling and delicious.

dark fruit and mulled spices ~ dusty tannins (flavored like iron filings over time)

A bit reduced, weird, and off.

Sangiovese at its best

More body, tannins and longer finish with ending flavors of slight cigar box and tobacco leaves. Also earthy in character.

Corked so I won't blame them. Will try again.
