Castell d'Encus
Acusp Costers del Segre Pinot Noir
It had some reduction at first, and I had the impression the harvest was advanced to avoid mesiterranean influence. I enjoyed it, it showed good aour cherries, but the acidity did not feel integrated. Yet to to find the Spanish Pinot.

1 person found it helpfulMar 1st, 2015Excellent herbaceous notes. Bright cherry, red currant, and raspberry fruits led by tart red apple skin. Rose petal notes weave through the nose and palate at length. Very nice gravelly minerality on the finish. A bit more acidity and this could be blinded as Burgundian. Serve at cellar temp to really enjoy!

Apr 15th, 2015Mid body and mid acidity. I was surprised by the lack of acidity. Strong strawberry notes and some plum. I miss some more earthiness. Overall a great pinot with a long nice end. Better after 5 years in bottle.
