Just opened it getting ready to have some beef ribs and tartar to accompany. Much drier than I expected out of a Merlot. Very herbal with a dry oak finish

My first taste of this was more flattering than this one. The previous review stands but I think this is just a decent not good wine.

Jan 1st, 2018Luxuriant cassis aroma - perhaps the taste doesn't quite deliver on such a promising nose. Still, once it opens up it's a solid #merlot with chewy tannins and a long finish that's a bit uncouth, like your uncle at Thanksgiving after too much Cab, but still enjoyable.
