Dark straw color. Aromas and flavors of green apple, citrus, vanilla and white flowers. Rather tropical on the pallet with notes of pear, butter and vanilla. Full bodied and a very creamy texture. Well integrated oak presence. Voracious acidity which nicely balances this wine. Thanks for sharing, John B! Revisited in November 2023. Above notes apply. Nice wine. — 3 years ago

What a gem! Rich ruby w/mild bricking at edge: gorgeous nose of dusty red & black fruit and tons of secondary notes - anywhere from coffee, tobacco, cassis, licorice & cocoa to dried herbs & minerals, very finely delineated red berried fruit at times, vein of minerality cutting through nose & palate. You can smell & taste the Tempranillo & Merlot individually. Med bodied w/finely grained tannins, regal bearing, integrated acidity and lingering finish. Going back to buy whatever they have left. Bump for QPR. Great chance to taste mature wine in the pocket — 2 years ago

I much prefer the basic Casa Silva #Carmenere over this one. This is deep in color and ripe on the nose and palate, but it has gone too far into wanting to be super silky and super ripe. It has lost the texture and the terroir for me. I also don’t like the milky, creamy diacetyl/lactic finish. Good but not great. #chile #colchagua #colchaguavalley #cordillera — 6 years ago

A nice, easy drinking, medium body wine from Chile — 2 years ago
It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Inky in color with a short purplish rim.
Strong nose of blackberries, blueberries, black plums, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, dark coffee, chocolates, light earth, eucalyptus, light cola and black pepper.
Full bodied and elegant with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, chocolates, coffee, cedar, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, herbs, light earth, black tea and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Ribera Del Duero. Very unique for this region.
This 6-year-old is showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel. Rich yet elegant. Fruit forward and smooth.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show its elegance and complexity, so take your time and be patient.
A great wine to share with friends and talk about. Thank you Pillar and José for sharing this with me.
Good by itself and will pair very nicely with the traditional grilled baby lamb dish.
Feels like a Napa Cabernet with a lot of Old World influence. Interesting stuff. Definitely not what I expected from this region, but this is gorgeous.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.
A tiny production of only 600 bottles. This is bottle number 212. Aged in French Oak barrels for 20 months.
15% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Was recommended to have this with a spicy meal, which did not disappoint! Fruity, dry, with very peppery finish. — 7 months ago
