Sick nose. Just wow. Spice, campfire, charcoal, sweet tomato water, ripe deep macerated cherries, aged character to them. Lovely. Palate is so juicy and complex and still carries great tannin. Serious tannin! Wow. Terrific fruit. Rustic for sure but this is Freisa. What a finish and mouthfeel. This is some serious shit. What a crazy wine. What it lacks in finesse and yes this wine lacks finesse, it makes up for in sheer oomph and unique character.
