After 45 mins in decanter this was Barolo from central casting. Tar and candied red flowers on the nose led a beautifully integrated and silky smooth fist full of old leather, dark cherry and fine tannins. Long, lingering finish. Nose got better over time. Excellent.

A real baby of a wine 2004 could be a grand vtge in both Tuscany and piedmont. Big wine with all the best attributes
