10 bottle years were sufficient to soften the 100% Nebbiolo in the 2010 Barolo Fossato from Cascina Adelaide. Medium bodied, earthy, cherries and comes perfectly together with some cheese.

Bright fruit, pomegranate, menthol and tar. Tea-like finish.

Enjoying this tasty bottle with friends. Nose of powerful plum, dark chocolate, and oaky smokiness. This Barolo has complex structure, round, and all tastes add together constructively. In specific, ripe and dark fruits attack your tongue in the first wave with vanilla and dried fruit sweetness, subtle acidity. In the second wave, hot spice, anise, menthol, mint, dried apricots, black tea, and oak surface. Aftertaste is long and lingering. Very jammy and a bottle is not enough! Interesting enough, this wine reminds me of a well done Cab in addition to the nice black tea flavor.

Nice, rounded fruit with the earthiness of Barolo but but too much oak came through in this modern style wine. Still young however.
