Saturday night and Love to have a Carmenere. I have opened the 2014 Casa Silva Los Lingues Vineyard Carmenere. The Colchagua Valley of Chile seem to have it going on. You have really got to like the green vegetal notes to really get into this wine and it just so happens I really like the green in my wines.
On the nose I have strawberry, red raspberry a kind of a saucy component, green bell pepper, green peppercorn, and a granite minerality.
The palate has GREEN BELL PEPPER whew in spades, red fruit with tart raspberry, tart red cherry, herbaceous notes, light oak that is well integrated.
This wine is medium bodied, medium + acidity with sweet refined tannins that leads to an enjoyable long finish. This wine has good balance that makes it a pleasure to drink. Have a safe and continued enjoyable weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
