Casa Maguila
Cachito Mio Toro Red Blend
Like wines that taste as clichéd as their labels? This is for you. Over the top ripe/oaky with poor balance of alcohol and wood.

Mar 13th, 2020Big ABV, undertones Of Cherry Coke, Dr Pepper, sasparilla. Firm lasting tannins with more Cola on the finish. Not bad for the price but not a great representation of the region.

May 1st, 2018For spanish lover this wine is ok, high alcohol, too hot, not much finesse.

Mar 6th, 2019This came as part of my wine club. ( Gary V / Winelibrary )
Dark ruby. More Reds than Purples. Opaque mid glass, and vibrant deep ruby on the swirl.
On the Nose;
Black Licorice, Cola (Strong Cola), Burnt Caramel, Pepper, alcohol, cumin spice.
Taste:
Solid Tannin structure, moderate drying effect. That cola really comes through on the finish. Moderate warming form the 14% abv. The tannins far more forward than the acidity. Needs a little time to open up, so a decanter or aerator are recommended. Drank at room temperature. Allowed to breath and relish between generous movement in the glass. Warm, savory, carmel, cola, ripe red berries behind the spice of cumin.

Medium bodied, medium to high acidity, sole tannins of dark cherries, to which it tastes like Dr. Pepper

Jul 8th, 2018Hay que dejarlo respirar una vez abierta la botella porque sino la entrada es aspera y mata la fruta final. Quiere ser goloso pero no llega. Final muy corto sin retrogusto. Le falta mucho que mejorar
