One of my current favorites. Solid wine from start to finish. Dependable without being over-the-top big. Big enough though that it clearly improves with decanting. Modest price, fantastic value, solid wine. Makes me want to try this winemakers other varietals.

Dense purple in the glass. The nose of cassis, black fruits, a little smoke and cedar opened up over the course of dinner. A saturated palate of ripe blackberries and dark cherries is bolstered by lively acidity, firm but unobtrusive tannins and a finish with focus and length. Straightforward but balanced with good structure.

Insane value at $10. Grippy tannins, balanced oak, and nice fruit flavored.
