A tightly wound nose with muted ripe black and red fruit. A fine structure and rich palate with big tannins. Abv is high. Acid is low. This will be great in another 5 years. #closapalta #lapostolle #carmenere #chile

Tight but should really cellar well. Mix of Chilean oak and blackberry and road tar. Cellar this one but get you some.

This is a very well made wine. I could have sworn the merlot was showing great in this wine until I realized I forgot what I was drinking -- and it's the carmenere.

A dark, only wine that seems a tad closed off at first but after an hour, she hits you with plenty of fruit, dry Violeta and a hint of vanilla. Tannins are still present but softening. Drinking well not but can age still.
