Very classic Chianti Classico. Ripe but slightly sour cherry and intense gravelly minerality on the nose. Savory, lean, and intense in the mouth. Aggressive acids. Will actually age nicely for a few more years but nice with pasta and meatballs right now.

UPDATE: Over the course a several hours, the fruit and weight of this wine filled out progressively. It clearly will age nicely for the next few years, at minimum. Upping score from 9.0 to 9.2

Popped and poured; DIAM cork. The 2015 Casa Emma CC pours a deep ruby color with a translucent but near opaque core with no obvious staining of the tears. Medium viscosity. On the nose, medium+ intensity with notes of super funky cherry (not Brett), dried herbs, porcini, menthol and cardamom. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Finish is medium and satisfying. Confirmed are the notes of cherry accompanied by dusty earth notes and orange bitters. Drink now and enjoy.

Dependable Chianti. Gravel, iodine, dark macerated cherry, vanilla in the nose. Great palate presence with lots of flavor intensity, balsamic savory notes predominating. Note super complex but very satisfying.

Dark ruby with a translucent core. On the nose, medium + intensity, with dark cherry, citronella, and freshly tilled earth. On the palate, it’s bone dry with flavors of dark, tart cherries, bergamot, with leather, dried herbs and spices. Medium+ tannin (nearing high) and medium+ acid. Long, long finish. Tremendous texture and perfect balance. This is a stunning Chianti Classico. No Riserva was made in 2017 due to yields so the CC got all of the best juice. It shows. I wish I had bought every bottle I could find…

The 2016 vintage in Toscano created wines that are right up my alley and this bottle from Chianti Classico by Casa Emma was no exception. Abundant cherries, dried herbs, black tea, and dusty earth. So fresh and energetic! At this stage, the wine is quite tannic…super duper dry, and the finish is as long as the day. Obviously best with food but not necessary given the abundant character and generosity. What a beautiful Chianti Classico and a just a gorgeous wine in general. QPR is out of this world.

Vintage is 2007. Sangiovese w some Canaiolo & Malvasia nera. Zippy acidity makes this a great food wine! Thanks @Casa_Emma

Sweet tarts anyone? Not well versed on Chianti Classico (yet) but I am guessing this is a nice one. Tartness balanced with light fruit and dry vanilla...

Really like Casa Emma. Such a versatile wine. Terrific with pasta and tomato- based sauce, as you’d expect. Great sipper with cheese and crackers, salami, sliced tomatoes.. intense mouth, cherry and stones, pipe tobacco on the nose. Tinge of sour. Love it. Haven’t had a drink in a week due to Covid, so I’ve got some ENTHUSIASM tonight! Bet this would be better in a few years. Alas..it was not to be…

Very enjoyable. Loads of cherry, some earth. There was a bit of tartness. Little tannic but seamless with food.
