Biotite Vinho Verde White Blend

Flinty minerality is still there, although time has brought out honeyed apples and candied lemon.

Mineral strong, high acidity

Delicious but doesn't deliver what I'd expect from vinho verde. Very ripe aromas of honey and acacia

The power of CO2 is amazing. This wine is still a limpid, pale yellow green. Some slightly funky, wet stone elements on the nose conjure a vaguely Chenin like vibe. Off dry entry with the CO2 saving the day for freshness, at least at cellar temp.

Highly acidic. Notes of lemon and lychee. Mineral. Not an effervescent VV.

Mom and Dad thought it was ok. Mom thought it cheery...probably a little too much mineral taste.

More Dad’s thing. Tastes more like a Riesling. A little sharp for Mom.

Perhaps oddly this reminded me of a Long Island redialing. Crisp apple notes.

delightful portuguese vinho verde. so much more depth and flavor than the mass market stuff.
