This 2010 is surprisingly youthful and drinking beautifully. Fragrant with rich cherry fruit and minerally soil, and a whiff of moist underbrush. Concentrated flavors have soft ripe fruit, intense minerality, and new leather. Nice acidity. Still some soft tannin left, excellent length. Last of four really nice bottles I bought about 4 years ago.

Apr 15th, 2018Classically-rendered Chianti Classico. Gorgeous scents of ripe cherry, menthol, sweet spices, gravelly earth. Pure and mouthfilling. Good clinginess. Tannins are there in abundance but soft, and there's good acidity. Long, lean, pure finish.
