This is my last bottle of this superb CCR. All sorts of secondary and tertiary scents found on. Gravel, sandstone, roasted herbs, almost a eucalyptus thing, iodine, macerated dark cherry, exotic spice market. Perfectly balanced in the mouth, with great acids and flavors that still seem youthful despite being 8 years old. Great stuff.

Oct 12th, 2019This 2010 is surprisingly youthful and drinking beautifully. Fragrant with rich cherry fruit and minerally soil, and a whiff of moist underbrush. Concentrated flavors have soft ripe fruit, intense minerality, and new leather. Nice acidity. Still some soft tannin left, excellent length. Last of four really nice bottles I bought about 4 years ago.

Apr 15th, 2018Very nice. Nose has mulled cherry, warm gravel, and old leather. Dry and a bit tannic, but the tannins were subdued by the braised beef this accompanied. Moderate acidity.

Feb 16th, 2017Classically-rendered Chianti Classico. Gorgeous scents of ripe cherry, menthol, sweet spices, gravelly earth. Pure and mouthfilling. Good clinginess. Tannins are there in abundance but soft, and there's good acidity. Long, lean, pure finish.
