Deep Ruby with aromas of red and black fruits with sweet spice and earthy notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry, blackberry and currants with leather, tobacco, licorice and vanilla, adding hints of pepper spice. Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit and earthy mineral character. Nice! Will age nicely!

100% Sangiovese. Deep ruby color. Quite noticeable aromas of bramble berries, black cherry, spice and vanilla. The very busy pallet features fresh and dried black cherry/berry, black licorice, blood, tobacco and herbs. A bit of spice on the very long finish. Quite savory, concentrated and medium/full bodied. This one can stand up to hearty and robust foods. Thank You Keith S! Revisited in September 2023. Still excellent!

Great label and enticing. Smoky once initially corked. Decent but with a flat finish. Gets you excited when you first open it up and let it breathe. But that excitement ends quickly

Deep ruby leaning garnet. Opens with a distinct and off-putting barnyard funk. Left to relax, red cherry emerges with charred wood, earth, and raw beef (although to be transparent, I was shaping and grilling fatty hamburgers). Aroma intensity is medium plus, and they are still developing as I detect chocolate starting to peek through. On the palate we have slightly less intense flavors of dried red fruit (cranberry and cherry), flint, are earth. Alcohol is a highish hot 14 ABV, medium acidity, medium plus bodied, medium plus tannins. The finish is medium (only)..I have had this several times. I am left wondering whether or not age will continue to deliver a benefit. Structurally, it should certainly stand up over time. Yet, much of the primary fruit has transformed already. So, buy 2. Drink 1 now, and age 1 for two more years, and see if your get leather and chocolate.

Spice, menthol aromas, dark red fruit, quite dry, tannic. Hold.

This is Not in the the DB!
This is not a blend. 100% sangiovese.
Disappointing... Basically, this is an average Chianti Classico with a fancy label. In a previous review I was complementary on their Vino Nobile but this quite frankly is a rip off. It's a 90 point wine, but I'm ticked...
