2008, I liked this powerful yet elegant super Tuscan from one of the more famous houses. The wine is inky black, it has a gothic nose full of cooked plums, cherries, raisins and sweet spices, the body is full a bit on the port side, but yet with lots of typical fresh Italian acidity, long long chewy finish. My score 89, drink 2013-2019

Great wine. Would love to try it again in about 5 years.

Originally plucked that it was a Cabernet when drinking this blind... but I also thought it was Californian. This just goes to show that Californian wine is amazing because it tastes like it could be Italian... and that this Italian wine is amazing because it "rivals Napa". Translation: This doesn't show anything. This wine is just really good.

À 15 ans, le 1999 est à maturité, mais loin d'être vieux. Fruit bien fondu, un peu de poivron grillé, un brin de sous-bois. Du cabernet souple et classique, qui se boit bien.

One of my favourite labels, still remembering the 1997 vintage...
Intense and deep in color, mild nose intensity with fine matured dark fruits and wood box aroma. Very balanced , elegant. Excellent

A pleasant mix of black and purple fruits. Nice minerality. Good persistance.
