Napa Valley Red Blend

It is Sunday night and tonight's wine is the 2016 Favia Carbone Napa Valley Red Wine. This is a blend of 61% Cabernet Franc, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 11% Petit Verdot.

On the nose I am getting raspberry, black cherry, strawberry, roasted jalapeño, mint, chocolate toasted oak and earthy notes.

On the palate there is strawberry, raspberry, plum, green bell pepper, violet, black currant, herbs, crushed gravel and good earth notes.

This wine is full bodied that is mouth filling with medium + acidity and medium+ mouth coating grippy tannins that leads right into a long fruit well balanced finish. Unbelievably good can from andy Erikson. Velvety and textured wine. Seamless with such beautifully rich fruit. Chocolate and fruity pebbles of the nose. This is a crazy value. Compares to all the best in Napa

Delicious blend; under appreciated and wonderful bouquet

Drank a bottle to see how it is. Tightly wound, needs a couple more years. But with some air time begins opening up to big bold black fruit. Chalky strong tannins. Mocha, dark chelate.

Delicious blend - dry, quick finish, balanced fruit, light but substantial.

The title of the wine is very misleading. I anticipated it would bring be back to my youth and provide hints rebellious teenage car sex at a movie theater from the name. However, after I got over those flashbacks..the Wine is Very aromatic with hints of anise and plenty of earthiness. Blackberries are a strong factor in this wine leaving you with complex spices as a finish

Big, bold, and opulent. Incredibly textured with oak, peppers, herbs, and leather. Finish is long and tannins are velvety.

Great acidity and flavors of stewed fruits and blackberry pie!

Lovely wine!!! Full bodied and cherry berry notes.
