Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Fruity nose of black currants, black cherries, oak, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, light vegetables, sweet vinaigrette and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, coffee, oak, cloves, earth light vegetables, pencil lead, peppercorn, leather, tobacco leaf, licorice, spices and chocolates.
Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This Italian Primitivo is simple and drinkable, but not fully balanced and better with food.
Still young and needs another year to chill in the bottle.
Reminds me of an earthy Zinfandel.
Good right out of the bottle and better with food. I paired it with a pizza.
