Bright clear garnet in color. Cherry and brick on the nose. Velvety tannins immediately on entry and straight through to the finish. Black cherry, brick, licorice on the palate. Medium acidity makes it very food-appropriate. Rich Sicilian or southern Italian fare is its friend. Awesome.

Shows promise of nerello mascalese and nerello cappuccio on the nose - rose, volcanic ash - as if PN and Nebbiolo had a baby. Finish is a bit short but can't complain given price
