Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall. At 17 years, mellow drying tannins.At peak for my taste, Should continue drinking well to 2026-2027.

Feb 2023. Still deep maroon at 16 years. Tannins are mostly absorbed, acidity is fresh. Earthy fruit. A 20+ year wine most probably.

Black fruits concentration with a specific herb flavor of Alianico. Smooth. Comfortable spiciness and acidity with some sugar like sweetness. 2009 @1840, domaine -, 220520-220525

February 2022. At 15 years, deep bordeaux red color, pink rim, nice nose, full bodied but not hot. Nutty, drying tannins, long finish. Fruit is fading. Good alone or with a winter stew. Better at cellar temp.

Very dark ruby coloration. Hint of brown. On the nose, plum, Dark cherry, currants and forest floor. On the palate, full bodied and rich in the mouth, cherry, currants and a strong and pervasive presence of anise that goes long into the finish. Tannins are present and strong but do not inhibit a medium long finish of anise.

Rich and complex. Layers of flavor. Dark fruit, licorice and nutty notes. Really enjoying this wine!
