Cantine Colosi
Sicilia Nero d'Avola
Funky on the nose but easy to drink. A little acidic but is opening up slowly. Lots of cherry on the palate.

Jul 5th, 2019Pretty, approachable, lightly-extracted. Showing some CO2 and sweet, candy-like cherry and raspberry fruit. Think Starburst or Skittles.

Jul 28th, 2018Loving the youthful exuberance. This wine seizes the day and burns out in a brilliant blaze, completely unaware of tomorrow.

Jul 16th, 2019Beautiful red color. Bold flavors with subtle tannins. Lots of fruit notes (cherry, blackberries) and slightly drier than I was expecting for the variation (thank god!). It is very drinkable, a good substitute for Pinot Noir or Malbec. Approachable for beginning drinkers who can’t tolerate full-bodies Cabs or Merlots yet. I sense it will be delicious with steak!
