Italy. White. Sicilian.
100% Malvasia grapes. This was a really interesting one; got hints of sea salt more than fruit (maybe some lemon and nectarine), straw color, thick compared to most Italian white blend/moscato/Pinot Grigio...more like a chardonnay consistency but no buttery taste - tasted much lighter. Think of cooking with butter vs olive oil - this is more like olive oil. Went wonderfully with seafood (spaghetti alle vongole)...used it to cook the dish too. Don’t really taste the alcohol (13.5% alc. by vol.). I really liked it and it was unlike other whites I’ve tried. More expensive than other whites I’ve tried but I definitely would get it again as I felt it had more depth. Not a sparkling or wine with “zing”. — 5 years ago
Drinkable and citrusy — 3 months ago
Fresh fruit. Light pineapple or lychee, maybe a little almost ripe peach. Moderate finish. So quaffable, I’m rating this on the third purchased bottle. — 3 years ago
Italy. White. Campania.
Very bright and great for summer. Lemon notes. Feels like you’re by the Amalfi Coast - that’s what I like about good Italian wines - the sense of terroir is very vivid. I prefer the Colosi which has more body and less zing but this was good with my seafood pasta. 13.5% alc by vol. — 5 years ago
A beautiful desert wine - smooth and not too sweet. — 6 years ago
50/50 blend of Nerello Capuccio and Nerello Mascalese. Bright ruby color with hints of purple. Fruit forward aromas of bright cherry and blackberry. Hint of red/purple flowers. Pallet is also full of fruit (same as noted above) with additional notes of pepper spice, minerals and wild herbs. Nice texture. — 2 years ago

Red fruit, young, fair amount minerality at least initially, interesting wine for the price. The tannins mellowed nicely after it had some time to breath. — a month ago
