Hey now! Aren’t you a lippy one!? Unheard of and forgotten… Fabrizio Iuli brings you the Slarina variety. Transparent but never hollow. Driven by its earthy mineral laced spicy character, fine textured tannins and a fresh palate with a ripe and juicy red fruit profile.

100% Slarina @delectable (not Barbera). Juicy and alternative with great drive on the mineral laced finish where earthiness and gentle red berries battle for front row seats.

This wine is 100% Slarina, not Barbera. Slarina is an ancient varietal that was grown in Monferato but then dropped out of style because of how finicky it is to grow. At 10.5% this wine blew me away. Carried its terroir with grace, undeniably a Piedmontese wine but with incredible drink ability. Bright acidity that plays with the late gripping tannins create perfect tension on the palate and the nose transformed elegantly like any good Nebbiolo. A gem I would have never found without the team at Elena in Montreal and Ryan Gray, Owner/wine director there.

100% Slarina grapes. All natural stuff and it's a truly naked expression of grape, producer and sense of place. Light bodied and elegant.

this was a fave of mine at daughter wine bar and coffee shop (rip). it’s a dangerously easy chilled red to sip on. it’s light bodied, slightly jammy and the tannins add a lovely texture.

Contrary to what the app would have you believe, the grape variety is 100% Slarina, not Barbera.

A bright, happy-making ruby colour, La Rina smells of spicy violets and tastes of earthy cranberries, with a light, peppery ripe red fruit sensation that lingers after each sip. Eminently drinkable, and at only 10.5% alcohol, why wouldn’t you?
