Capostrano Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Perfect pizza wine. Reddish purple in color. On the nose there’s an overlay of a graphite minerality above aromas of plums, raspberries, and mocha. Medium bodied with a fluffy mouthfeel, smooth tannin and just a little tiny perk in its acidity. The aromas of plums, raspberries, and mocha repeat as flavors on the palate. It finishes with a burst of raspberries that levels off into plums and graphite.

Decant and it will show full potential.

Easy drinking Italian table red. Tart cherry, soft licorice spice and clean finish with a kiss of Carmel. Pairing with calamari, fire roasted artichoke and tomato seafood risotto didn't hurt either.
