Insane nose. Such an elegant vintage for this. Gorgeous nose of spice and licorice, smoke and oolong tea. Loads of minerals and so inviting. Citrus rind as well. Also melting road tar. Palate is juicy, vibrant and balanced. Terrific cherry fruit and such finesse and refinement. Spice, mid season cherries on the finish. Long finish. Soft tannins and such nice energy.

From a difficult vintage a lovely elegant wine. Raspberry and cherry on the nose with some lovely spice. Tangy sweet confectionary aromas as well. Tree bark and earth. Lovely aromas. Really much better than last time. Palate is dense and tannic but with good fruit, licorice and red cherry with big licorice on the finish. Almost anise. Nice opulent hit in the mid palate. Nice wine.

Very good wine in a difficult vintage. Plummy. But still very nice.

Spice, cherries great palate vivacity. Some great fresh old attic on the nose. Great freshness on the finish. A hint of bitterness. Delicious. For a difficult vintage a tremendous achievement. Bought from fass selections.

Delicious effort in a tough vintage. Sweet fruit but not stewy. Some licorice. Lovely. Bought from Fass Selections. ... two hours in lovely lilacs. Gorgeous spice. Sweet licorice on the finish. Wow.

Just give and gobs and gobs of sweet fresh cherry fruit. Lovely spice. A hint of bitterness that is barely present but rounds out the palate. Juicy Silky Tanins. Lovely floral internal aromatics. Amazing what a dedicated winemaker can do with a “lesser” vintage. The British would call this useful. Optimal 5 year window but it is drinking wonderfully well now. Bought from Fass Selections. Ok after 45 minutes the spice blends with the fruit seamlessly and it tastes almost like Gevry. It has that holy Crap seamlessness of great wine. Long juicy spice finish. Wow. .... great intense spice on the finish.

Mediocre Barbaresco. A little harsh and unrefined, although strong aromas. Tannic. Will try in a couple of years.
