Nice wine but much heavier than I expect from a traditional Dolcetto. Blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, bramble. Lots of dusty dark chocolate on the nose but gets creamier on the palate.

July 21, 2019. Dinner w/ Jack D and KK. Purchased at TTW tasting Oct 2017. Dolcetto from the lovely town of Nieve. This was our 3rd bottle and my tasting notes did not survive the evening, but loved this wine!

Again, lots of haters and fake news @Ted Corvey on delectable regarding this great example of Dolcetto from a great producer - maybe you see a red wine from Piemonte and think all muscles, no playfulness or versatility, and that my friends is what this Dolcetto has to offer. With more air, the savory flavors came around and was perfect match for Jambalaya.

Nose of leather, rose, limestone; high acid, medium body, subtle tannins, bramble. Opens nicer than expected, to bubblegum.
