The fizz is different. It took a minute. Enjoyed the mouth feel later after a little of the light carbonation subsided. Funky nose the burned off and sweet red fruit came through in the end.

Once opened and you let the funky aged meat notes blow off, you end up with a surprisingly delicious red. Burst of tart cherries, cranberries, rhubarb, violets, brown earth. Picked this up at Maria Teresa's Cantina in Barolo. Good stuff. And cheap. Geeky Somms love it.

Sappy, crystalline and taut. Has an alpine freshness combined with raspberry liquorice, cranberry and rose petals. Pretty and savoury.
