Classic Sangiovese. Cherry and sandalwood, tannins are a little coarse but smooth out. Such intensity man. This reminds me why Brunello was the wine that got me intrigued in the first place

88/100 San Felice is a great producer and this BdM from a tough year has classic Brunello profile. Very light body but delivers above it. Chilled to 16C and this helped the initially coarse tannin.
The nose had bright red fruit on opening, classic Brunello. Palate is a little tight with forceful tannin but opens at the right temperature to good mouth feel. It all provides a pure BdM journey.
Finish is a little light.

Jam and berry on the nose. Smooth with floral and pepper notes. Like walking into the queens hydrangea garden in spring with a petite chien nipping at your toes. LEATHER.
