The 2018 Rosso is a bold, juicy red to drink now and over the next handful of years. Dark plum, chocolate, licorice, leather and spice give this open-knit blend (60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot) a good bit of character in an approachable, easygoing style. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2021)

My first Bolgheri. Good structure, but very tight early on. Opens up slowly but nicely to layers of red fruit. This is a good wine , although I don’t quite see the WS 93pts. Later this wine started to shine with notes of cassis and a velvety finish. Lots of decanting needed.

Tart, balanced, ready to drink. Nothing spectacular; but delivers all the components you expect from a super Tuscan at $20. #value

Il Campo al Mare Bolgheri 2010: a well-structured Merlot-heavy estate-grown super Tuscan wine. Pour it for your friends, who will love its forthright berry flavors, its mildly savory food-friendly appeal, and a beguiling finish that will beg you to "aprire un'altra bottliglia". An inspiring sample sent to me by the good folks at @winechateau.
