Camille Giroud
Meursault Les Vireuils Chardonnay

Pure pleasure. Laser acidity is the first thing you notice, followed by candied lemon, green pear, butterscotch and toasted hazelnuts. The zing factor might mellow with a few more years but I dig it now.

Can you say Funk on the nose? Elegant and soft peaches and nectarines. Well balanced.

Again, direct jetlagged quote: This chardonnay pairs well with creaminess, bc it's complex and the oak aging helps it hold up. Complex and full for a white. Bright acidity that is spectacular with the sausage. Not too buttery or oaky. I think it's a great chardonnay, just not the biggest fan of chardonnays...
