Dark red purple. Inviting nose and medium full palate of black cherry, baked plum, and charred blueberry. Dusty ashy tannins support from entry as does the medium acidity. Fleshes out substantially after just a short time in the glass, but the fruit stays dark adding some juicy red apple and with a hint of ash. Finish is moderately long and continues the palate. The Aria is Caiarossa's entry into the premium level more than the top of the entry, and needs premium level cuisine to shine. Steaks and up. Drink now through 2030.

This is a very interesting red blend from Italy.

Medium bodied and extra smooth with medium acidity.

Showing red and black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, vegetables, herbs and black tea.

Long finish with grippy tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a good food wine. Elegant and fruit forward. Easy drinking and good for parties.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.

Needs 2 hours to open up properly. It is worth it to be patient.

A blend of Cabenert Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 14 months in oak barrels, and then 6 months in concrete vessels.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$40.

Dark garnet purple with color almost to the rim. Abundant nose of black cherry, brown spices, and cedar. Full-bodied palate echoes the nose adding red apple peel and a bit of black pepper back palate. Juicy medium plus minus acidity and oh so fine tannins that only assert just before the medium long finish place this squarely in the "fine dining food wine" category, though a snack of semi-hard cheeses and charcuterie will fare quite well. Caiarossa's "second wine" gives an experience right up there with the big boys of Super Toscana at a reasonable price. Take it to any dinner from now through 2030.

Light VA presence on the nose, but not really off putting. Red cherry, plum, brown sugar, leather, and touch of balsamic. Fresh acidity. Fine integrated tannins.
No Sangiovese in this blend. Winery is under the same ownership as Ch. Giacours and de Tertre.

Again, excellent.

A magnificent red blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Alicante with flavors of blackberry, currant, oak and a hint of cedar. One of my favorite mid-priced Super Tuscans.

October 2, 2021. Dinner w/ Jack D, Dean, Bridget. Wine No. 2 (Hard to follow the Sondraia!). Blend of Syrah, Cab Franc, Merlot, Alicante, Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark red fruit, earth, leather, spice. Decant. Or keep in your cellar another few years.

Very pleasant, pepperish taste of Syrah. Went well with puttanesca pasta.
