Ca' Rugate
San Michele Soave Classico Garganega
Drank 8/15/18. Paired with salmon, but I think it would pair well with calamari, mussels, and lighter fare as well.
I believe this is 100% Garganega. Nose of stone fruits, with yellow peach and nectarine. Hints of musty earthy scents show as it warms. I preferred this one a bit cooler. Medium body with peach and lemon curd. Nice acidity on the refreshing, but relatively short finish. A more interesting pinot grigio alternative for fans of Italian white wine. Nice
3/22/7/4/2 + 50 = 88 pts.

Easy like Sunday afternoon - light, pleasant slightly jammy white with a sublet citrus note in the background throughout. Perfect for lounging - by itself or with a light cheese
