Simple, medium nose of red cherry and some earth. Flavors of red and black cherry with subtle spice and some tar notes. I little thin on the palate, with some muddy notes and a touch of greenness on the finish. A perfectly drinkable wine. You cant be mad for the price

Never tried Sangiovese before. I really like it! I especially like the history behind it which is that it's a tribute to Juno, wife of Jupiter and Queen of the gods of Ancient Rome, the protector of welfare of women overseeing all aspects of marriage, fertility, and childbirth. #girlpower #wine #yum

Used this to make Coq Au Vin.. In retrospect should have used a French wine but I suppose I chose this one because of the tribute to Juno, protector of fertility and marriage. Strong fruit flavours, rich, pleasant.

Grifone 2011 Sangiovese - thin and fruit dominant on its own, but goes well with food as Italian wines are wont to do. Decent value for pasta lovers.
