A clear indicator that it has some age on it, the wine has a light body weight with raspberry, cherry cough syrup, mint, and some light tannin. Enough acidity to hold it up, yet still a bit old.

On a recent CA trip to see my daughter, I was able to taste the 2012 and 2013 Pinot, side by side. Sourced from a 31 acre vineyard. Dark Ruby red with big aromas of berry fruits and pepper spice. Concentrated flavors of raspberry, cranberry and cherry flavors with peppery and herb spice. Fine tannins, well balanced, complex structure carry the fruit from the palate to the finish with a touch of oak and mineral lingering to the end. Very Nice, small production, 2013 was a bit crisper. Tasting Sample.

Dark Ruby red with aromas of berry fruits and pepper spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, cranberry and cherry flavors with peppery spice and earthy tones. Fine creamy tannins, well balanced, nice mouth-feel and structure. The finish carried the fruit with a touch of oak lingering through the ending. Very Nice, small production. Tasting Sample.
