On a recent CA trip to see my daughter, I was able to taste the 2012 and 2013 Pinot, side by side. Sourced from a 31 acre vineyard. Dark Ruby red with big aromas of berry fruits and pepper spice. Concentrated flavors of raspberry, cranberry and cherry flavors with peppery and herb spice. Fine tannins, well balanced, complex structure carry the fruit from the palate to the finish with a touch of oak and mineral lingering to the end. Very Nice, small production, 2013 was a bit crisper. Tasting Sample.

Fine creamy tannins, well balanced, nice mouth-feel and structure. The finish carried the fruit with a touch of oak lingering through the ending. Very Nice, small production. Tasting Sample.

Lots of ripe red fruit, good acidity, medium body that has evolved into some umami and the start of being over the hill as it’s a 2014. Not dissatisfying.

Jun 20th, 20242014 vintage drank in Oct 2021 and with 2 bottles, one is corked and the other is marginal. Definitely a pass.
