Les Bélemnites Côtes du Jura Savagnin Chardonnay

Those briney, sappy, twangy notes could only come from the Jura. Lovely ouille influence without dominating the palate, and acid for daaaaayyyyyyzzzzz. Yes, thank you, I'll have another.

So delicious. Whilst not made oxidative still shows some slight acetone and blanched nut character, amongst some white florals, mandarin, minerality, bruised apple, real lemonade and tarragon. So fresh and briney, almost salty in the palate with just ripe stone fruits and ripe grape fruit character, supported by a faint cheesy note.

Medium plus lemon. Bruised apples, hazelnuts, pine nuts. Medium plus to high acidity, medium minus sugar, medium plus alcohol

Interesting. Tasted better than it smelled. A little too sweet but good.
