2013 vintage. A bit shy on the nose initially, but opens up nicely in the glass, so give it 10 minutes to show the dark berries and a hint of cinnamon. Juicy in the mouth with very good acidity, slightly rustic tannin and good length.

Aromas of oak and undulating spice! I thought this would just be another sweet red blend but it has something more! Solid notes of Plum, cedar-wood, cassis, ripe red cherries. Finishes with undergrowth, cherry and cinnamon. Great for less than $20

First impression on opening: Worcestershire sauce. (Friendly version: strong nose of tamarind!). Robust tannins. Moderate acidity. Suspect Cabernet/Syrah blend given heavy currant note, some Zin plum as well. Good pairing with skillet fried pork chops and roast Brussels sprouts. A few years in the basement might let it stand better on its own.

Finished off with Tinto Nacional, this is well worth it's price. As my rep says, "ooh, I like that wine! That's a lot of shit going on there!" $17.99 / 91pts

Bold. I got the Zinfandel heavy with this, but got hints of syrah and cab that rounded it out. Nice for the price point. Would be a bomb bbq wine.
