Impressive for the price point. This is a classic vintage for NV. Well balanced tannins.

Backup bottle just in case the ‘01 Newton didn’t want to play ball. This is a really solid Cab that exhibits notes of blackberries, plums, creme de cassis, and baking spices. On the palate suave tannins that can stand only a little further integration, but don’t detract from the present drinking experience. Brooding dark fruits, Luxardo cherries, and blackberry cobbler on the palate without being overtly jammy or extracted. I think this wine is balanced nicely and will only improve in the coming years.
