Wow after trying Aubert Chard this Merlot has massive amounts of bright fruits, soft tannins which open up impressively and quickly. Wow !! Great finisher to a family weekend. CB 95+!

Oof, this should be a Friday wine, not a Wednesday. Absolutely fantastic Merlot. Beautiful orange meniscus with a clear edge. Blowing seven kinds of smoke on the nose, but the wine is soft with pleasing dark berries, blood orange, and a little chalk. Not going to improve any more with further aging, so it's good I didn't wait until Friday! Less than 500 cases produced. Oh, and the bottle weighs a metric ton.

Deep purple in color and oak notes on the nose. Rich dark red fruit against soft/plentiful tannins, smoke and toasted vanilla on the palette. Still a young wine that will benefit from more time in the cellar (or a longer decant!). One of the very best Napa merlots that I have sampled!

Simply one of my favorite Merlots. Dark color with nice fruit aromas. Nice balance of dark chocolate, blackberry, with a hint of cherries at the finish.

Jan 28th, 2023This is a Cabernet drinker’s Merlot! Pleasant bouquet with oak and red fruit - good tannic structure complements the natural softness of the cassis, bing cherry, and a hint of chocolate on the palette. A real winner!!

Wonderful rich intense flavor with beautiful dark color and full texture. Bottega staff recommend, and it was absolutely amazing...decanted due to the young vintage.
