Another great Classic Wine Happy Hour in the books! Always a treat to have a designated day each month where guys can pull out some unique bottles!
My contribution for the evening. Got this a while back after I saw @David L said the '06 was drinking amazing right now. He was correct! My first Buccella, believe it or not. Tons of fruit going on here...all types of berries, currant, toasted oak, milk chocolate. Decadent. I need to seek more of this out!

SOLID bottle of wine. VERY impressed by this one. This wine was true embodiment of Napa cab at 12 years old. Dense, full bodied blackberry fruit on the front with a hint of eucalyptus, with a slightly "blue" tone. The entry of this wine was rather massive and tasted like this one was 3 years old. The middle of this wine had some fig and black fruit, and finished with a dominant pepper note. I heard Shay talk about this one for a little while, and was very honored to share this one with you. I was extremely impressed at how youthful this one drank, and seems to have a good 5-7 years ahead of it. I think zenith is probably 2020-2021.

2006 Buccella is maturing beautifully. Notes of black cherry and blackberry coupled with hints of cocoa and graphite fill the glass. It has a medium to full bodied finish. Alicia and Bill have sourced some excellent fruit in every vintage produced and today Celia continues to squeeze her magic in every barrel.
