This wine is old enough to drink itself. And it should, because it's fucking awesome. On it's last revolution, but holding strong. Hard to put into words the specialness of tonight. A woman I poured it for said "I know what happened in the 1930s." She turned out to be from the 1910s. I told her "Barolo speaks directly to my brain."

This bottle was outstanding. Opened with a rusty hue but 4 hours in the decanter and the color came back ruby red and the classic Nebbiolo notes were abounding. Dare I say it was even fresh at times. This ethereal wine has more years ahead. But it was outstanding tonight. An absolute stunner.
