This is still really dense and packed. Great gnarly intense fruit. There’s a lifted cherry play doh note on the edges but the primary thing is iodine and lean focused fruit. There’s leather and gamey plummy stuff. Soured and distilled. Great purity and a tarry, luscious focus. Still decades ahead but this is serious, quite austere fruit. Wow

Enjoyed this on my birthday, At Kahill’s, Delta Hotel, on 21 May 2018. Excellent with food; salad, dates, calamari, New York Strip, Filet, and Blueberry Cheesecake. Tanic, but good. Light fruit nose and mouth. Could still age a few more years.
