2000 vintage. Roses potpourri nuances of tar Coffee cocoa dusty chocolate. Palate is lean and bright w exceptional texture balance intensity and cleanness. Great balance and length. Stunning.

Unlike the barbaresco, this got WAY better with time in the decanter. Much more structure vs the barbaresco and more depth. It was still quite tanic out of the bottle but with time it all became well integrated.

Young but within the window. Tremendous depth. Love the style and the different type of Barolo. Held its own nicely with the short ribs and will be even better in a year or two.

1986 Giacosa FdS RL was wine of the night for me.

Great Barolo that is really drinking well floral & silky on the palate showing notes of dark cherry, strawberry, sweet & savory spices, tar, licorice & rose petal.

Came around after two hours

A little hot on the nose, a little bitter on the finish, but great depth, still needs a lot of time. After a few hours it started to fulfill its promise.
